ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

 

The world moves pretty fast, and carving out the time to slow down is an essential form of self care. The full moon is a great time to set intentions for any aspect of your life. Meditating doesn't have to be an hour long daily activity, you don't even have to sit down! Taking five minutes of your day to meditate can build gratitude toward the self. 

In this workshop, we will discuss what meditation is, how to set intentions, and end with a group guided meditation. Whether you are new to, or familiar with, meditation this workshop is perfect for you and a great way to share joy with new people.

 

 

WORKSHOP CURRICULUM

  • What is meditation?: Learn about the history of meditation and how it came to be, and why it is still practiced today

  • Setting intentions: In your day to day life, learn how to set intentions and how to meditate on your own

  • Group meditation: Meditate in a group setting for just 5 minutes, allow yourself to turn inwards and find your center


ABOUT THE HOST

Kay Kanakry is an avid yoga teacher and student. Her passion is connecting yoga to nature. Kay hosts Kay Bee Yoga classes in various locations around New England including flower farms and breweries. She believes yoga is a journey not a destination. She has a Bachelors of Arts from Sacred Heart University in Media Arts and a Bachelors of Arts from Sacred Heart University in Communications.
