ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
In a time when social injustice perforates our daily consciousness, being intentional about making a positive social impact in an essential form of self care. It can transform our mindset from helpless to empowered. In this workshop, we will address how to create a personal connection with social impact and give participants manageable tools to do so.

Finding your impact: Reflect on the skills and tools you already have to make a positive social impact.

Finding Balance: Reflect on how to balance social impact with self care, and explore how the two are interconnected.

Making a sustained social impact: Reflect on the long term impact you want to make and how you will get there sustainably.
ABOUT THE HOST
Sophie Sandberg is a gender justice activist, street artist, and founder committed to combating gender-based violence through public art, digital media, and education. She created the popular initiative, Catcalls of NYC, which raises awareness about street harassment using colorful chalk art. Sophie co-leads Chalk Back, a global youth-led movement against street harassment. She has a Bachelors of Arts from New York University in Gender and Sexuality Studies.
